ABOUT ME

Welcome to my site! I am from Orange County, California and a graduate of El Toro High School.  I am currently a Senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Sport Management and minoring in Writing.  I plan on graduating from Michigan in December of 2017.  

I am a student athlete and the captain for the University of Michigan Women's Varsity Water Polo Team.  I have been a competitive athlete for twelve years and end my collegiate water polo career as the team captain for the Michigan Water Polo team.  My roles and responsibilities include organizing team events in the community, conversing with a group of people to organize and achieve team goals, and problem solving in a timely manner to adapt to sudden environmental changes.​

My love of sport sparked my interest in pursuing the Sport Management degree and ​encouraged me to write about related topics in the Writing Minor.  I hope to one day work in Community Relations or Public Relations in the sport industry.  Sport has the power to change the world and I hope to be a voice that induces positive change within the industry.

This site allows the women who share a passion for sport and the sport industry to comment on the topics discussed in these essays.  My hopes and dreams for Skirts in Sports is to provide a platform for women to share, learn, and grow through a blog-style discussion.  Join me in highlighting the harsh realities of women in sport, in addition to celebrating what the modern day "skirts" are doing to promote change and kick ass!
